KTSMTV highlights NMSU at the Digital Stone Project

NMSU-KSTM-Sculpture Interview

KTSM 9 News in El Paso interviewed NMSU Sculpture Professor Carissa Samanigo and BFA graduate Lei Maslian on their experiences at the Digital Stone Project residency in Italy over the summer. Professor Samaniego and Lei spent a month learning how to use a robotic arm to carve marble and traditional stone carving techniques. At the end of the residency, all of the artists participated in a group exhibition, displaying their works created in the program.

Thank you KTSM for highlighting the creative research in our department!
