Prof. Carissa Samaniego (@carissasamaniego) and BFA graduate Lei Maslian (@eli.is.outside) have spent the past month in the Apuan Alps (Garfagnana, Italy) creating marble sculptures as part of the @DigitalStoneProject residency. After their forms were rough-carved by robotic mills with the team at @GarfagnanaInnovazione, they hand-finished each sculpture onsite using traditional carving techniques. 

The culminating exhibition, Per Forza di Levare, curated by India Price (@iceprice99), opens tonight. Join us in congratulating Prof. Samaniego and Lei Maslian on representing NMSU in this international exhibition!
