HUGE congratulations to Kayla Blundell (BFA ’25) on the installation of her artwork “Desert Kinship” at La Buena Vida Park here in Las Cruces. The sculpture is now part of the Las Cruces Public Art Collection – marking the first artwork commissioned by the City Art Board by an NMSU alumni! Faculty celebrated with her yesterday at the dedication and were overjoyed to hear City Council and City Art Board speak about the important role that art plays in civic life.
